Sound Energy Paragraph 1
Sound Energy is the most common energy in all of the lands, only equaled by Electric and Hydro as well known, but they are not as commonly used. The Sound Energy user, is so common that most people will use the energy without even realizing that it is in this classification. Within Sound Energy there are 5 classifications that make up the whole of Sound.
Sound Energy Paragraph 2
1. Manipulation – which allows the user to adjust their own vocals, and sometimes that of others, to allow the sound to carry farther, have greater impact, deal damage, become soothing, etc. With this ability the Sound Energy user can adjust their own voice to sound terrifying or so soothing as to actually sway others. (It is said that a master of this type can actually use their abilities to make the sounds around them sway the feelings and emotions of those in the area to varying degrees). They can also “throw” their voice.
Sound Energy Paragraph 3
2. Force – Allows the user to alter the sounds around them into large blasts that can be of a level of devastating if used properly. Though, rare, these users could actually bring down buildings with simply the sounds around it. (They would need more than just the sounds of nature, but it would not be that far of a stretch for them.)
Sound Energy Paragraph 4
3. Wave – Similar to the Pulse user, the Wave user would be able to use the sound around them to send waves out from their own body to do varying things. The most powerful among them have been known to deal great attacks on entire armies from a quarter mile away, using just the sounds around themselves and then augmenting the attacks with the screams of the army.
Sound Energy Paragraph 5
4. Bound – This allows the user to alter sound around them into large spheres that pulsate out from their bodies. When done this way, the user can not define who will be hit and where the energy will flow, they can simply send it out and hope for the best. This type of sound energy is devastating, but not controllable in the slightest.
Sound Energy Paragraph 6
5. Control – With this ability the sound user will be able to manipulate the sound waves around them to make them “solid” for short stints and can actually use them to lift things like a Telekinetic would. (See Telekinetic). The Sonic Manipulation that this user can undergo will depend on their own ability of focus, but it has been shown that some can create an entire bridge out of simply sound and hold it long enough for a short caravan of about twenty carts to move across a short expanse. The user passed out afterward and was out nearly a week, but it was done.
Sound Energy Paragraph 7
Any Sound user can use one of these abilities, if not two. Rarely have there ever been any that could use more than two of the abilities and as such the Sound users are often limited to being very devastating or very focused, which has kept nearly all of them out of being recognized as a Master. Only one has ever been able to master all five and had the focus to use them in unison. Her name is Sonic Boom and she works with the Reachers. (See Sonic Boom, See Reachers.) Thus few learn Sonic Energy in the hopes of becoming vastly powerful.
Sound Energy Paragraph 8
With Sound Energy comes a few caveats that everyone should be aware of. The Sound Energy user will be able to hear for miles but often begins to lose their eye sight due to the strains they are under to control the sound. (It is not certain what causes this, but so far only two have ever lived long lives and not gone blind.)
Sound Energy Paragraph 9
The user will not be able to “sneak” very well if they are tapped into their abilities at all, as the very source of their ability will augment their sound around them. Someone that is whispering around a Sound user will be speaking nearly normally if they stand too close to the Sound user. This will cause a problem in big cities, which is why most Sound users try to avoid them.
Sound Energy Paragraph 10
The Sound user is not immune to their own abilities and as such can break their own bones using sound if they do not shield themselves before attacking something. To do this, they must place the shield, which costs 5 Will pts. per round to sustain, before they can attack with any Sound Energy or they risk dealing damage to themselves as well.
