Acrobatics

Acrobatics is how dexterous a person is and how well they can control their body in a fall, jump, etc. This stat will allow the user to gain defense, speed, and reflex to avoid being hit, but will also help them in strength, agility and fighting ability. Those that master this skill are very hard to hit and even harder to sneak up on due to their reflexes. (As with all Proficiencies, only the last Proficiency counts toward their rolls. So if a person has Acrobatics 3, they only add Acrobatics 3 to their rolls, not 1,2 and 3.)

Note: It is better to get Tumbling before gaining this ability as it will help the character even further and it reduces the cost of Acrobatics with a mastery of Tumbling (See Tumbling).

Running

The main mode of transporation for mortals is either walking or running. Some will own horses or the like, but the expense steers most away. Getting to be a good runner will actually help with many other abilities. More importantly, though, it will help the player to get more actions in the different games, which is something everyone wants.

Swimming

Swimming is something that everyone should learn, but that few take the time to do. This Proficiency will help in much more than just water, it builds muscle, stamina, speed and much more. It will also give a few abilities that are very helpful in a fight.

Note: Being in the water has a few draw backs. Such as:

  1. Cost 10 pts. of Stamina per round in the water.
  2. -4 Mobility in water that the player can’t touch the bottom in. 
  3. -1/2 Mobility if they can walk in it.
  4. -1 Action when in water that is over the head of the player.

Tumbling

Tumbling is literally just the ability to take a fall without dealing extra damage to one’s self. It will help in fall damage, direct attack damage and the like. This is not an amazing proficiencies to have, but it is the stepping stone to many other proficiencies.
