DueBacks
Summary of Race
Short, barrel-like humanoids that live by power and strength alone. They believe that they are the supreme race on the probe and that they should be the only ones in charge.
It is said that three of them can take on a Rattle directly and five can take on anything, though that rumor is apparently started by their own race.
Though they are pig headed and very hard to adapt to anything, but in a fight they are the hardest fighters someone could have next to them. They live to fight and they love to win. Even the females are fighters and just as pig headed as the males.

Racial Traits
Dual Strike: Duebacks can deal double their damage in a single attack using energy and mental abilities that they can’t otherwise control, but it will all be from physical attack (Costs 25 Stamina).
High Strength : The Dueback can double their own strength for short amounts of time. This will add 15 Attack and 8 Defense for 6 rounds (Costs 15 Stamina).
Singular Focus : When a Dueback uses this ability, they can continue fighting even after losing Soulmere to 0. This will last for 6 rounds after being defeated and will allow the Dueback to take any damage dealt as if it were not dealt, save for energy attacks which will degrade the ability directly and remove 1 round per 50 pts. of energy attack (Costs 50 Stamina).

Social Structure
Duebacks are extremely family oriented. If there are two or more Duebacks in an area, and one is attacked, the others will jump in, regardless of the danger to themselves. Due to this, their structure is a democratic style where all the heads of the household get a vote in what the overall will do. The main families of the society, known as the Cleronoth are revered above all others and their vote counts as three to everyone elses one, and they can make laws that pertain to the rest of the society but not to their own family. This is not looked down upon, but rather seen as their right since they are one of the main houses. That said, it is through strength and cunning that each house stays in their position and if scandal or misfortune is high enough against a house, they will lose their status and the next ranked house will gain it. This makes for a lot of underhanded deals and backroom agreements among all the houses.
The Dueback are superstitious in many ways, one of them being that if they do not step in when another of their kind is being attacked, then their gods will abandon them. Thus, even against a rival house, they will always step in to help out another Dueback. This applies only to outside races. If a Dueback is facing another Dueback, then it is a singular thing and only family will intervein.
Technology
Duebacks will use anything that will further their own strength and power, but it takes a very long time for them to begin to learn things due to their pigheadedness. Thus their ventures into technology are slow and arduous. Once they finally learn the technology, however, they will adjust it until it works perfectly for their needs. This often means that tech that should be used for relaxation is altered to that of war in one way or another.
Religion
Due backs worship Shaldagor, a Supre Mald of War and devastation. Shaldagor asks for sacrifice once every generation. The sacrifice isn’t mortal beings being slaughtered on a pedestal or alter, but rather hundreds being slaughtered on the battlefield. Either other races or their own. As long as her followers keep up their end of the bargain, she grants rich harvests and bountiful females that will give stock to a new generation.
Duebacks have worshipped her for as long as the Dueback histories have been recorded. (Incidentally, Rattles once worshipped the same Supre Mald but fell out of favor with her when they quit fighting others and reclused themselves. Thus the Duebacks hate them.
There isn’t much in the way of ceremony or need for prayer with Shaldagor but she does ask that they speak with her on a regular basis at least three times a week. Not pray, simply speak to show that they have not lost their faith. Thus the Duebacks are often muttering to themselves to keep up with their Supre Malds demands.
Base Persona
Duebacks are most commonly Sociopath. Though they will help one another, they often do it out of loyalty to their race rather than emotional connection to one another.
Interesting Racial Things
Duebacks are very good builders of traps and other such items. They are great hunters and extremely good fighters. They have three different styles of fighting that other races don’t use.
Seldron Fighting 1 : +5 At., +3 Def., +4 Will. All of the race learn this at age 4 and up.
Duebacks live to 50 or 60 years of age at most, and usually have families of 15 to 30 in all. They procreate very quickly and have “litters” of babies at a time. Thus every time one of them gets pregnant, they will have 3 to 5 children at once and it is rare for a child to die in infancy.
Duebacks are adults at 12 years old and grow very quickly after that. Thus they look like they are fully mature at age 13 to 15.
Duebacks are claustrophobic by nature and have to overcome the phobia to be able to get into any small space without a save roll. The roll for this phobia, before being overcome, is 2x the fear of the Dueback.
Note: Duebacks have dual forearms that connect at the elbow. Due to this they have learned ways of fighting with two handed weapons using only one hand in many cases. They are also able to attack in ways that others can not.
