Prophet
Much like Precog and Divination, the Prophet can see long distances into the future. The difference being that the Prophet can see all the probabilities, and knows which one is most likely to be chosen. They can see the events that cause the future and the events that would cause alternate futures. The Prophet does not travel through time like that of all other linear beings, but rather they are in time, at all time. They see the future like we see the past and the past like the present. There is no true past to them because they are always living through everything at the same time. This causes them to be confused much of the time and allows them to see the outcome of any battle before the first strike has even been thrown. Due to this, fighting a Prophet is nearly futile as they already know every move that the person fighting them is going to make and how to counter those moves.
Due to their nature, though, they are not allowed to directly influence future events or they could literally erase themselves from the time line. Should this happen, they would see the moment of their error and know not to do it, but would still make the same mistake, not knowing why. This is the conundrum of the Prophet and the reason that Prophets rarely, if ever, get into fights or even defend themselves. They will, however, allow others to defend them. Most Prophets will have a large number of minions, followers, etc. that will follow them to the death. The followers will be devout and as such will be “unswayable” against other players. Meaning that controlling them mentally will not work.
The Prophet can use magics like others would use weapons. Meaning that every spell they use is an immediate, regardless of the spell. Every spell they cast has its full ability, regardless of what is on the field at the time. All of their spells are considered area attacks and, though targeted at one enemy, can deal damage even to those that would withstand magic normally. Thus negating beings that can only be hit with area attacks from magic.
The Prophet can not be harmed by traps of any sort. They can not be the target of spells or abilities. They can not be attacked mentally by any save the Malds, or higher, due to the fact that their mind is always in every moment and those that would use these abilities would not be able to directly effect the Prophet.
Prophets will spread the word of the future events and try to get as many people to believe them as possible. It is their mission from birth to tell of these futures and show the events to come to try and avoid or make them happen, depending on the Prophet and the future.
Prophets are usually born into their abilities, however, they can earn them through being granted by a Mald or higher. (Gods will not give these abilities as they believe the Prophet can one day become a God and this would put them at odds of one another. Also, Wroth-Malds will not work with them due to the fact that they are always helping and the Wroth-Mald wants to destroy.)
Note: The Prophet is not allowed to fight against a single opponent directly. However, they can defend their minions, followers, etc. when it is necessary. This means that as long as there is a minion, follower, etc. on the field, the Prophet can fight. If those are removed from the field entirely, the Prophet will have three rounds before they have to surrender. (Oddly enough, the Prophet can pick up a weapon and master it within seconds due to their ability to see the futures of anyone. This allows them to pick up the weapon and use it without incident, even until Melaney Weapons. They will still take damage due to the radiation, but that will be reduced to 30 pts. per round.)
Note 2: The Prophets powers were granted and can not be removed. Due to this, the Prophet can not turn them off, ever. These powers make them seem insane and often their writings, speech, etc. come off muggy at best and completely insane at worst. This is why most of the Prophets are either cast aside or completely ignored. The general public simply can’t understand what they are trying to explain.
Note 3: Prophets, with their vast abilities could be considered Gods among men, however, they can not take lives that they see are going to be significant in the future. Therefore, they can fight someone and if they realize that this person has something else to do going forward with whatever future they are trying to push, the Prophet has no choice but to remove themselves from the fight. This presents many issues with the Prophet and is the reason that they rarely become entangled in the day to day dealings of the planet.
Note 4: If a Prophet looks directly at the future of a single person, they will grow to know that person so well that they can, and often will take on their traits. This will often make the Prophet love this person nearly as much as themselves. Due to this the Prophet will skew their own outlook on the future and thus start to make mistakes that they otherwise would not have made. Most Prophets fall into this trap at one point or another and since they can see their own future, but already know that they are going to make the mistake, they simply can not get around it without causing a paradox. Thus far, only one Prophet has ever changed their own future in the events that they chose, but no one is certain of the ramifications as of yet. That Prophet was Xantor, the Wise.
Note 5: Due to their abilities, Prophets can see in every sight known to the Supre Malds. This allows them to see spirits, God-Slayers, the Abyss, etc. Everything on the planet is open to the Prophet and this will often be extremely scary to them.
