Soul Trapper

Soul Trapper

The Soul Trapper is a mortal that has learned to trap souls into different items, weapons, etc. The soul can charge the weapons, items, etc. for enchantments that will literally last forever, as long as the soul remains in the weapon, item, etc. The soul trapped will decide the amount of energy the weapon, item, etc. has within it and how powerful the enchantment can be.

The Soul Trapper usually is a person without morals or a conscious. They will befriend someone that they see has a high vitality and grow as “close” to them as they possibly can. Once they are close enough to be able to betray them meaningfully, they will kill them with different drugs, weapons, etc. and use their abilities to trap their souls within the weapons, items, etc. that they possess. This process is the way to make the most powerful of enchanted items, weapons, etc. because the last feeling that a soul has before going into the prison, is the one that will be on the forefront of their emotions for all time. If they feel hatred or betrayal, the weapon, item, etc. will be more powerful than if they simply felt fear in their last moments. This is due to the souls ability to bring in Metophic Energy. When we are upset or pissed off, our energies rise, which causes our heart to beat faster and our blood to rise. All of this is a cycle that will continue to draw in Metophic Energy over and over and the weapon, item, etc. will be more powerful on a regular basis. If it is fear, then the weapon will be less powerful for Metophic Energy does not respond to fear and the regular energies will be all that are present.

If the Soul Trapper can cause the person to love them, the energies will be at their highest. Love causes Metophic Energy to rise greatly within someone and is part of the Euphoric feeling that they gain when they feel love. Due to this, the greatest weapons every enchanted were with someone that loved the Soul Trapper. They will make the victim fall in love with them and then, when they are not expecting it, trap their soul in the weapon, item, etc. before the victim finds out what is going on. Once they realize they have been betrayed, the feeling of betrayal will come out at times, but the feeling of love, being the last one they felt before being trapped, will continuously surface. This will cause great torment of the soul for they will feel the betrayal as if it just happened every time someone uses the enchantment and the Metophic Energy will rise at that moment, making the weapon, item, etc. more powerful and then, after the enchantment is no longer being used, they will go back to the love that they felt, still knowing that they are betrayed. This is an existence that most in the hells would not wish upon another.

The Soul Trapper will use their abilities to forge weapons, items, etc. to get mass amounts of monetary value throughout their lives. They will rarely use their abilities for the betterment of any society, unless they are gaining something for it in the exchange. These beings are almost always in it for themselves. (In history, only two Soul Trappers have ever been known to be truly kind and caring. Both turned out to be simply playing the long con and trying to get as many people to follow them as possible and one succeeded. A great deal of weapons were created during her time and she used her ability to sway the masses, since she was beautiful, to make as many people fall in love with her at once as she could. Then she held a party and talked them all into committing suicide. Most believe that she did not talk them into it so much as she poisoned the food. Before they all died, she trapped their souls and began placing them into the large assortment of items and weapons she had in the next room. She died with so much wealth that even kings could not have matched her.)

Be wary of the Soul Trapper due to their vast assortment of tricks. They will have many souls that they have already captured and placed into weapons, items, etc. from when they were younger. Even a new Soul Trapper will start off using weapons and items that are enchanted due to their training and these weapons may vary from interesting to devastating.

Due to their Nature, the Soul Trapper can learn up to two magics in their life times. Most will learn Brown for its ability to allow them to enchant things with amazing power and Grey for its ability to set traps within the enchantments should the weapons, items, etc. be used against them. This also shortens the life of most of the Soul Trappers and is so common that the phrase “A short as a Soul Trapper” is used on a regular basis. Most don’t live beyond twenty years of gaining their abilities.

Note: Soul Trappers will piss off any Demon-God, God, etc. that they steal a soul from. When they trap a soul, it can no longer go to the heaven, hell, or otherwise that it was supposed to and thus the owner of that place is now annoyed that they have lost the excess power.

Note 2: Soul Trappers can see God-Slayers without the slayers showing themselves. Due to this, when one is around, the Trapper must learn to ignore them or fight them. All God-Slayers believe that if you can see them, then you must be a god. (See God-Slayer)

Note 3: Nearly every Soul Trapper is fearful of their own soul being trapped. Due to this, they will use a spell that only exists within the Soul Trapper’s teachings and is secreted so well that in over millions of years it has never been let out. This spell allows the Soul Trapper to spirit their soul away the moment that they die, to where ever they choose to go. Many Gods don’t even know that these souls currently reside in their domain, due to this spell.

Note 4: Be wary of the Soul Trapper, for they can also manipulate Metophic Energy to a low degree, but only use it in blasts. Even the smallest amount of this stuff can be devastating. Though this may deplete the user and even kill them, it is a last ditch effort to survive. (There have only been two instances of this being used, and both ended in the death of the Soul Trapper, but also the death of those foolish enough to be after them. As well as two small cities that were in the wake of the explosion.)
