Plasma Energy

This is a strange and powerful energy that is often underestimated. With this the user can alter the the energy flow of virtually any substance and turn it into its plasma state, which is similar to the gaseous state, but is highly energy-rich. Using this ability heats the body of the user to degrees that can kill mortals, but those that have the mutation, or the technology to control it, have a near endless supply of power simply pushing a small portion of matter into this state. It is said that if the ionized gas, or plasma, were to be harnessed on a planet, the stellar fusion processes, which these users can create, would proved enough energy to run the entire planet indefinitely.

With this amazing ability, a user that has anything technology based, would be able to harness this power to fuel that technology and thus never worry of running low on their energy, no matter how many shots they fire, how much tech they add, etc. Ibonez, a Supre Mald in his own right, started off as an immortal that loved technology. Due to being born with this energy, he has since become a tech. god and is actually worshipped as such by most techlothans. (See Ibanez, Techlothans).

A being using this ability can learn four different tracks which are extremely hard to learn and most will either fail or die before reaching the end of even the simplest of these.

1. Plasmatic lightning – This is actually very simple for the Plasma Energy wielder to use, as all they have to do is turn something they are holding into plasma and take a small handful of the ionized gas, then heat it up slightly further using their abilities. As they heat it, the gas become agitated and then the users sparks it (Sparking it, simply means that they add a small amount of bio electricity to the mix, which all Plasma Energy users make in great abundance). Once the spark hits the gas, the plasma fires from the gas outward in which ever direction the user pointed. The resulting attack will be a lightning bolt of immense power. The devastation is amazing from one of these blasts, and the more gas used, the more powerful the bolt. The problem with this type of attack is that, though it can be targeted if the user has that ability, it can’t be only targeted. Meaning that the lightning bolt will dance around a bit before hitting its target and anything caught in its path will be dealt full damage as well. This is plasma damage as well as electrical damage plus force. So the defender would have to defend a massive amount of energy attack and then the force of the attack which would be a physical attack. All mental abilities for 2 rounds would be shut down if the user is hit and magic spells that are being processed would be negated.

2. Magnetic Pull – Using this the Plasma Energy users can alter the magnetics of virtually anything on the planet that has magnetism. (Things that have little magnetism will be partially affected, or not at all.) This allows the user to change the magnetic charge of an item to go from having 3 pts. of charge and pull toward another object to having 500 pts. toward the object. The user can then simply change the polarity to see the object pull or push from or toward an object. This is similar to a magnet, but can be used on virtually anything on the planet. Using this, the user can pull of a grand amount of feats, such as flight (where he/she is simply altering their own polarity against that of the planet to glide across its surface), super speed, amazing strength, short blasts (using the magnetic pull of the air before them they can alter the polarity to achieve short blasts of energy at a target that is within a few feet of them. Used well with hand to hand, but not well as a projectile) and many other abilities as well. This user could seem like a God while being only mortal. (Note: due to the nature of the ability, their core temperature will rise every time they use their abilities and thus the more they use them the more they cook their own internal organs. Those with this ability, in not truly Gods, will die young.)

3. Plasm Shot – Allows the user to send condensed balls of plasma through a focal point, usually a weapon of some sort, at varying degrees of speed. It is rare that any user can fire these shots out of their own bodies as the energy is so potent as to destroy the body itself. However, given a weapon for them to pool the energy into and then fire it from that weapon, the user can continually fire these balls of plasma at rapid pace. The plasma itself is hot enough to eat through metal and can fire at nearly the speed of a basic bullet. (Basically 1700 degrees F. 1750 ft. per second.) Each of these balls will cost the entire “Imbue” of the user to bring them into being and each time they are used, Stamina will be drained accordingly. When they hit anything of less temperature, they explode like a grenade dealing damage to anything that they hit. (The initial hit will be the imbue of the player, plus their energy attack, plus the Rank energy attack and the explosion will be 1/2 that. Anyone hit with the shrapnel will take 1/2 that and then will have to deal with the after effects.) Each of these will ignite anything they hit and deal fire damage at 1/4 the amount of damage of the atttack for until the fire is out. (Can be put out simply by patting it down as long as the fire is not on something that has Fire Weak. If it does have Fire Weak, then it can’t not be put out for 4 rounds.)

4. Plasmatic Manipulation – This is the scariest of all the abilities. Using this, the user can alter plasma in a near infinite number of ways. Since plasma can be made by virtually any object, or even simply matter, this user nearly never runs out of their abilities. Aside from having the abilities of the other two above, the manipulator can also store plasma within their own bodies, create small illusions, create light shows, release fire from seemingly nowhere, defend massive amount of energy all at once simply by throwing the plasma before them like a shield, small arcs of intense heat and power (these are simply called arcs and are the most common means of attack), control energy around them to varying degrees, move at accelerated speeds using the energy stored behind them or in front of them (depending on which way they want to move), Large blasts of basic lava (Capable of melting metal on contact, and even reducing humans to nothing but goo in a matter of seconds), and many many more. There has only been one user thus far that has been able to wield this ability more than a couple of years without dying and the abilities that he has shown are so amazing that even Supre Malds have stared in wonder. Gridlok, the sole master of this ability, is so powerful in just this ability that he can take on beings that are considered Primordial. (See Primordials.) That with the fact of his Technological advances, makes him powerful enough to take on just about anything he comes across. (See Gridlok.)

Note: As stated, when this energy is being used the user’s temperature rises greatly. The more power they loose, the more heat they produce. Due to this, would-be masters in the past have actually killed themselves due to just the backlash of this energy and most have melted where they stood. It is rare for any being that is not of Mald or higher to be able to wield this energy without adverse effects. (Gridlok is able due to his own internal mutations and those of the technology that have been added to him over the years.)

Note 2: As stated when this energy is being used it heats up. It also has a habit of taking on different colors when it is in contact with anything. So a person using this on a blade will make the blade light up as if an aura where emanating from it. So the blade will glow in the dark or even shine in the light. The color is determined by the materials.

Note 3: Due to the nature of this energy, water is not something that truly harms the user. It can even cool them down in their greatest time of need. However, this also makes it so that if they use their ability for an electrical charge, since the charge actually travels through them when they fire it, the water will have them electrocuted as well. Thus most of Plasma Energy users avoid water as much as possible when they are using their abilities. (Gridlok has a particular aversion to water as when he was younger he was held under water until he passed out and then revived and the process was done again. David Melaney, the god-father of Gridlok, did this to teach him to swim and to teach him never to disobey his father. It gave Gridlok a bit of a complex and now he will not so much as get into a tub of water. He takes regular showers, but nothing more. He is deathly afraid of the water and when a long boat trip is needed, he will sedate himself or use another means of travel to get across the oceans.)
