Shenorian Boi Fighting
Main Use : Energy and some Magic defense. Physical defense is more an after thought as it is mostly made for attacking rather than defense and nearly always with a weapon.
This originated in the fields of Shenor where the planters had to defend their crop from poachers and keep unwanted creatures off their land. This style is best with a creature and a weapon, but will work with only a weapon if necessary. Hand to Hand fighting is not trained in this style directly, but anything can be used as a weapon, even the closed fist.
This style developed over years of hacking at the opponents and learning that the opponents shields, armor, etc. were too much for the simple strikes. Due to this the Olars there, along with the humans that worked with them, began to develop a form of fighting that would work great on a battle field, but also great in single combat as well. As they were never without weapons, due to the fact that they were always being attacked, they incorporated weapons and later animals into their style. If a user of this style is without weapon, they have learned how to “steal” the weapon of the opponent in a single strike.
Using the Daai, the Shenorian Boi Fighter can charge the weapon for the strike to make it powerful enough to defend an assault, or strong enough to cut through most metals. When the Daai is in the weapon, the weapon will glow and will deal a great deal more damage than before. If the weapon is destroyed at this point, the Daai will explode outward at the opponent, or into the face of the user. This can also be used on shields to strengthen them.
This user can not put the Daai into themselves for defense or attack as their style keeps the Daai raw and doesn’t focus it properly without the weapon. Thus if they don’t have a weapon, they can put it into their closed fists, but the power would be half its natural attack or defense as opposed to the Daai going into a weapon or shield. It simply does not focus into the body as well, only into inanimate items. This does, however, make the will cost nearly half that of other Fighting styles and helps the fighters stay in the fight much longer.
When it comes to animals, the Shenorian Boi Fighter can charge their weapons and the “tie” them to the creature they are riding, working with, etc. In doing this, the creature’s Daai will be put into play with the weapon and the two wills strike together. Thus, when the user attacks, the creature attacks at the same time, making a devastating single attack. They can defend together as well doing this, but they can not do both. Some creatures are better for defending and some are better for attacking. Each creature will have their own benefits and drawbacks due to this. (Using their soulmere will show how the creature will be able to charge or uncharge for a fight. If the soulmere of the creature reaches 0, then the creature dies and the link is broken.)
Note: This style was originally formed to fend off multiple opponents and is not as great against single opponents, but still works. The problem being that a single opponent will be able to dodge much easier than multiple opponents, thus negating the raw Daai that is added into the attacks.
Note 2: This is used mostly by Barbarians and some Soldiers. Brute force is the best thing to add with this fighting style and as such is favored by the large and slow fighters.
