Treeashians

Summary of Race

A solitary race that tries to stay out of the other races wars and daily activities. They will trade with virtually anyone, but they don’t trust anyone. They live within large mountains and thick forests. Due to their innate abilities they are perfect stealth characters. Their bodies are much like the idea of a Chameleon, but to a degree that is far greater than their little ancestors. If a Treeashian stands still for two seconds, they will mimic whatever is behind them. This will be to a point that makes them so well hidden that they will seem invisible. However, if they start to move again, the chameleon talent will stop and they will look normal once more. This might seem like a strange ability that would only work for certain situations, but it is much more useful. Should someone come toward the Treeashian while their abilities are in place, they will see and feel only the background that surrounds the Treeashian and not the actual body there of. This will continue as long as the Treeashian doesn’t move at all. Thus finding them is virtually impossible, even when putting ones hands on their bodies. Though there are abilities that can remove this talent.

Treeashians are also known for their ability to stealth using invisibility of some sort or another. That mixed with the training that they have in becoming a soldier in their armies, which all citizens have to become at age seventeen until they are age thirty. The training teaches them how to blend into their surroundings should their other abilities fail. Thus their entire outfits are made to help them stay quiet in the forest and to basically become the forest, or terrain around them.

They are not only the best stealth characters on the probe, but they are also very high on the fighting scales. The fighting styles of the Treeashians make them able to stand toe to toe with Xefalonions. (See Xefalonions.)

It is said that the Treeashian is an ancestor of a lizard of some sort and a Spidrix. If this is the case, then they owe much of their fighting abilities to their lineage. They can move with great agility, have great strength and move with amazing speed. They also have a slight armor to their skin that makes them a bit more durable than most humanoids, but it is not a great amount of defense.

Racial Traits

Treeashian Chameleon Stance: User “becomes” whatever they are standing in front of if they stop moving for more than two minutes. This will cause all that are within sight of the user to simply see them disappear strangely. Should the go to where the body stood, they would see, smell and feel nothing but whatever the backdrop was. However, if the user so much as moves a finger, the ability will fade and they will revert to normal. (Costs 50 Stam. lasts 4 rounds).

Treeashian Invisibility: User can alter the light that hits their body into a form of prism. They will, if moving, show a slight blur or discoloration around their bodies when they move, but for the most part they are invisible. This is not true invisibility but a trick of the light. (Costs 20 Stam. and lasts 4 rounds.)

Treeashian Defense: Allows the user to triple  adrenaline for that time. This will cause them to be much more agile, must stronger and much faster. Triple all of these stats. (Costs 30 Stam. per use.)

Social Structure

Treeashians cities are hidden throughout the woods and mountains of the probe. It is known that there are at least seven in total but no one other than the Treeashians knows the whereabouts of them and those that are trekking through the probe are given a particular mental treatment that removes the locations from their minds. When leaving they have a particular amount of time to roam then they will be drawn back to one of the cities. When this happens, they will remove themselves from their parties and move off to wonder alone until they return to their own homes. This ensure that no one ever finds their cities. Those that stumble upon any of them either vanish or are taken in and never allowed to leave.

There is a King and a three queens that rule over all of their societies. These four beings have absolute power but it is not known if the king is over the queens or visa versa.

The society lives off of bartering, trade and lending their skills to those in need. More directly, those that have the Brik to pay. The Treeashians don’t get involved with any wars if at all possible and have only been involved in one global conflict, the First Melaney War. During that time, their king and two queens were killed and their society was shattered, but they rebuilt much stronger and now would be a global superpower if not for keeping themselves hidden from the rest of the Probe.

Technology

It is not known if their powers and abilities come from technology or from natural means. It is known that all of them wear suites that are far technologically advanced from nearly anything else on the probe. Due to this, their tech is sought after by all other races, but there is a self destruct on all the suites that renders them useless should their hearts stop beating and once they die, all of their tech follows suite.

It is known that they have a sophisticated communications system that allows all of their cities to speak with one another from anywhere on the light side of the probe.

Religion

Keeping to themselves, it is only known that the Goddess they pray to is immensely powerful and other deities won’t even mess with the Treeashians. Even Vincent Augomoto will not try to take the souls of a Treeashian. It happened twice and both times Vincent regretted his actions.

Base Persona

Treeashians base persona starts directly on Non-Viable and the roll goes up or down depending on the roll. 10 is Non-Viable and Treeashians are incapable of being Non-Viable save by a Startup Ability.

Interesting Racial Things

Treeashians try to steer clear of most violent interactions with other races, but many believe that they are the actual masterminds behind the Koltu, but if that is the case, no one of their race has ever stated as such. It is known, however, that some of the most elite Treeashians guards have worked with the Koltu in the past.

Treeashians have been in every major writing of history starting back to the first writings of the Drattle. If this is correct, then they were on the probe within years of its original creation.

Treeashians may have a form of magic that is foreign to all races. This magic, known as Nulothian Magic, has only been witnessed twice in history and is powerful enough to rival Purple. It is written of in cryptic messages throughout the ancient writings. No one is certain of its bases or whom within their race actually wields it. It is only known that it is a weapon that they still hold when needed.
