The Nomo-Pooligate race are distance cousins to the Atapooligate, though they truly hate their cousins. The Nomo-Pooligates have been trying to defeat the Atapooligate for centuries to become the dominate race of the seas. They have, however, not been able to pull off this feat because they will not embrace technology of any kind. They believe that the old ways are the only ways and using technology is disgraceful to the gods.
With their thick hides and powerful limbs, they are incredibly powerful and durable. They are nearly twice as strong as an Atapooligate and far more durable, but their ways of battle are considered backwards and crude. However, it is very effective when in the open waters. On land, they are a bit more clumsy, but still very dangerous. It is said that given enough time, the Nomo-Pooligate can work their way out of any situation due to their ability to use their environment and adjust to their surroundings. Due to this, locking them up is virtually impossible.

Seamanship: (+12 Aware, +3 St., +2 Stam.) Most Atapooligate work on or near ships of some sort. They rarely move away from large bodies of water and will never go near Mt. Dryst or Dremta due to a superstition that is fundamental to all Atapooligate. They believe that both of these place are haunted and the only place on the probe that will remove from their the Mother Goddess Phlayiadobatrachus. Due to this they will sail anywhere on the probe except within a
mile of either of these two regions.

Nomo-Pooligates are highly susceptible to Fire, Frost and Electric attacks (See Glossy for details). The Nomo-Pooligate live in a structure of survival of the fittest. Those that are strong are at the top of their society and make the rules for those that are weak. When a family grows strong enough, they will become part of the ruling council and start to make rules with the High Council. For this to happen, however, another family must be removed from the council. When this happens, the family removed is usually murdered to the last member. This is known as family cleansing and is perfectly acceptable as the “Will of the Gods” by all in the society.
The standing of the family is the most important thing in their society and they will live and die to further their own family. The lower dregs of society will fight tooth and nail to further their family even an inch up the scale, for the further up the scale a family rises, the less likely they are to fall prey to other families.
When in war, the High Council will call to arms all families together and call to arms all individuals. Those that are able to make a name for themselves in battle will honor their families and thus they all fight with abandon.
There is always a head of each family and that head will make the decisions for the entire family. Going against that head is similar to treason. The head of the family can tell a member to kill another member and it will be done, for the most part. That is the sway they have over the entirety of the family.
The Nomo-Pooligate live on the fringes of society as Barbarians and thieves. They have only two cities of which are more like make-shift towns. Beyond that they live in small tribes throughout the oceans, usually just outside of the cities of the Atapooligate where they try repeatedly to steal from, kill, destroy anything they can get to from the cities.
The Nomo-Pooligate will not use technology of any sort. They believe that it is dishonorable to their gods and as such will shun its use at every turn.
The Nomo-Pooligate believe in many different gods and worship many that are not even their own. They do not have one specific god, often opting to follow others gods as their own.
Sociopathic – The Nomo-Pooligate revere the family as the only thing to defend. They will kill anyone, at any time, to gain favor for their family. They will also kill their own family members if they think that the death of that one will put their family in higher favor.
The Nomo-Pooligate are not aversed to retreating when it is tactical, but once they have decided on a course of action, they will follow it to its inevitable end, regardless of personal pains. If they know that storming a castle is going to get them killed, they will find the best way to kill as many within the castle as possible before heading in, but they will head in. They are not pig-headed, however, they are more than capable and willing to change a course of action as long as that change still garners the same results in the end. Thus they are mission oriented and will not deter from that mission until they have completed, in whatever way they can.
