Summary of Race

The Drakian live in small tribe throughout Shenor and Achilleos and in some places of Colemanian. The tribes are usually very small with anywhere from fifty to one hundred Drakians living within each tribe. The tribes are rarely invaded by any other races due to the fact that Drakians have an odor that permeates large areas around them (Think skunk, but at a humanoid size).

Drakians are fare with magic and very good at defending mental abilities. They are usually more barbarians than anything else, but they are good at many different traits. They also have an innate ability to avoid poisons of virtually any type, especially gas poisons. Venom will not work on them either.

Racial Traits

Solid Stench: Drakians have  smell that is so strong it can actually cause other races to be reduced to coughing and gagging fits. Much like tear gas (-2 Persona, +8 Shock).

Stench Spray: Much like a skunk, a Drakian can “spray” a large stench in a stream when they are scared or attacking. This will cause 10pts. of damage to all stats for 4 rounds and cause a save roll for Shock  die (If the victim looses the save roll, they will take another 2 rounds of this damage).

Mustard Spray: This is like a fog over a small area. The fog is actually the same spray that Stench Spray uses, but done as a fog rather than a direct spray. This will cost 20 Stamina and deals no direct damage to anyone. However, all victims in the area will have to roll a save roll per round against Shock. If the victim looses the roll they will drop anything in their off hand and cover their mouth. If they lose two rolls in a roll, they will vomit and drop all weapons for 1 round (Fog will permeate the area for 6 rounds).

Rock Head: Due to their genetics, the Drakian has an extremely hard head with horns. They can use this as an attack. It will be their normal attack plus 25 (Costs 25 Stamina per attack and fatigues for 1 round).

Social Structure

All tribes are run by the Shaman. The Shaman is the religious ruler of each tribe and the High Shaman, known as the Bultrigoth, rules over all the tribes together. It is rare that the tribes will work together on anything as they usually will fight rather than be peaceful as most of the tribe either hate, or simply dislike each other. When they are called by the Bultrigoth, they are all on there best behavior because they know that they are called together by Dulthingor, the Mald of Smog. Dulthingor is their patron Mald and defends their race directly when needed. Very few other races try to take on the Drakians but that is mostly due to their abilities rather than any fear of a Mald.

Beyond the Shaman, there is no other social structure that is common within the tribes as they all are setup differently than one another. In most, however, the structure is similar to a tribe with a chief and their children being the most high within the tribe.

Technology

Drakians fear technology of any sort. They use fire, wheels and the like, but nothing beyond simple technology and they often will destroy things they do not understand for fear of what it may be or what it may do.

Religion

Dulthingor the Mald of Smog is a very powerful being that has taken the race under his wing and his minions can be found often giving omens, showing miracles, etc. within the tribes. When Dulthingor shows himself, the entire village will disappear into a thick fog that is so powerfully strong that stepping into it could kill mortals within seconds. 

The tribes are scattered throughout their perspective lands but all Drakians, at age twelve, will make a pilgrimage to Mt. Dryst where they will climb to the highest peak of the mountain and be tested for three days. Those that return are considered adults and under the protection of their Mald directly. Those that do not either were not worthy or were taken directly to Dulthingor for his own needs (Note: women do not take this trek if they are pregnant by this time  of their life, making many women try to get pregnant as young as possible).

Base Persona

Drakians are Unemotional by nature and often don’t care if one another is dying, much less anyone outside of their race. They will defend one another, but more for the honor of their families rather than to actually help someone. If they can get away without being seen then they will allow, or even help, others be killed within their own race. Only the Shaman is outside of this basic rule in that all Drakians will step in to try an save the Shaman. Anyone else is on their own.

Interesting Racial Things

When first come up to a Drakian, they look like short, fat beings that couldn’t do much in the way of a fight. When they get scared, upset, etc. they will take in a deep breath and their body will altered to that of a very well built creature with claws, large teeth, a tail and a head that is rock hard.

Drakians have a solid spot on the top of their heads and often will use their head as an attack when in danger. The attack is equal to that of their normal attack plus 25 due to the hardness and the surrounding horns.
